‘Alphabet’ to go on screen at Malatesta Short Film Festival in Italy

Iranian short animation ‘Alphabet’ has been set to go on the silver screen at the second edition of Malatesta Short Film Festival in Italy.

‘Alphabet’ is to represent Iran at the Best Animation section of the Italian film event.

Directed by Kianoush Abedi, the 6-minute animated piece depicts a nation that has forgotten the alphabet of living. They cannot see, cannot hear, and cannot speak, but the words are waiting for them eagerly.

Founded in 2017, Malatesta Short Film Festival is an international event based in Cesena- Italy. The festival, which will be held at the "Cinema Eliseo Multisala", is made up not only of film screenings, but also of meetings and collateral events.

The second edition of Malatesta Short Film Festival is slated for March 12-14, 2018 in Cesena, Italy.
